Sensually luxurious or simple and relaxed: Virtual bathroom design for the bathroom brand FOR
How do you make a room tangible for people when they can't enter it? Surfaces and textures, the warmth of the light, the play of shadows as you move through the bathroom - all of this determines how a room is perceived. The feeling of peace and relaxation is only partly a result of colors and lighting; temperatures, smells and humidity are far more important. Our CGI artists were able to capture these room-defining characteristics for the new Richter + Frenzel FOR product line in product videos and 3D images for the new brand's bathroom furniture.
The two product series FOR Ovidis and FOR Leano communicate the bathroom as a personal feel-good space, a place of retreat. The designs are sensual and warm (Ovidis) and cool, relaxed and unagitated (Leano). All the individual pieces of furniture, fittings, washbasins, showers and baths can be combined with each other as desired. However, they also adapt to existing living and design concepts and can therefore be used together with products from other series. Richter+Frenzel attaches great importance to this, as it creates truly individual rooms thanks to sustainable design.
The challenge was to present precisely this idea of simple furniture, which blends organically into any existing room, as part of the manufacturer's brand communication as product images in 3D. CGI in furniture marketing is no longer entirely new; after all, our core business is the home & living sector. We were able to support the manufacturer in creating the new brand from the very beginning. Product images were created by our CGI artists, developed as 3D visualizations and processed into product videos. We were also responsible for the digital showroom design. All 3D visualizations for the trade fair and showroom were created by us - which is also a special feature for Danthree Studios on this scale.
3D product images for the sanitary industry are a challenge
When it comes to sanitary facilities, brand communication is often somewhat critical. On the one hand, absolute hygiene must be communicated, while on the other, the pleasant, relaxing and individual character of the rooms should be emphasized. Materials must have smooth, easy-to-clean surfaces - but a personal wellness oasis must not appear cold either. End customers should engage with each individual piece of furniture through their senses and understand its functionality at first glance. How do you present this in a digital bathroom setting without becoming too technical? Richter + Frenzel stands for innovative bathroom design, and the virtual product presentation created by our artists should communicate exactly that.
The collaboration with specialists from the trade, who know the properties of the individual materials inside out, ultimately resulted in convincing CGI for furniture manufacturers as well as for the sanitary facilities. Smooth surfaces shine and reflect in the light, the cool feel of a pane of glass can be experienced through the interior discreetly reflected in it. Nevertheless, the product images radiate a pleasant warmth, generated by the special lighting and the soft play of shadows, which sometimes appear deeper and darker, sometimes lighter and more superficial. The bathroom design in 3D has a calming effect, with no echoes or loud noises. Despite the smooth, easy-to-clean surfaces, the rooms radiate calm. Matt surfaces, angled spaces and the use of isolated textiles ensure this calm. Richter + Frenzel from Munich (Germany) use FOR as a bathroom brand to create feel-good spaces for personal hygiene that people enjoy using. Every 3D visualization, whether animated or static, radiates this.
