Bathrooms and sanitary facilities are a sensitive area. The balance between cool hygiene, sterile functionality and emotional relaxation in the most private of all living spheres is a delicate matter. Richter+Frenzel GmbH + Co KG shows that it is possible to make a name for oneself in this area with the FOR bathroom brand.
Developed by the Richter agency, FOR communicates unobtrusive luxury in the bathroom. The brand has already won the German Brand Award twice and has received the IF Design Award 2024 four times. Now the young brand has received the Red Dot Design Award.
Danthree Studio was allowed to be there: product visualization for brand communication is our specialty. Flashing chrome fittings, matt black, organically shaped ceramics brought to life for the senses - that's what our CGI service was supposed to achieve. From 3D visualization to 3D animation, FOR Odivis radiates warm sensuality, while FOR Leano comes across as calm and unagitatedly cool.
German Brand Award '24: Special Mention Newcommer of the Year and Winner Heating and Bathroom
The German Brand Award '24 was presented twice to the brand presented by Richter+Frenzel at RIFA in Nuremberg in 2023. The premium sanitary brand segment is highly competitive and the market is actually saturated. Alexandra Richter from the Richter agency for brand development nevertheless managed to get the entire industry talking about nothing else after RIFA.
The design language was developed with and by the design agency Artefakt. The focus was on the sensual experience: based on organic shapes, the design agency developed washbasins, washstands, bathtubs and toilets - in other words, the entire sanitary program. A pebble was chosen as the starting point, exemplifying organic forms in connection with sensual experience and water. Working with fine ceramics allowed for a particularly precise, flat geometry of the individual designs.
The second German Brand Award '24 in the Heating and Bathroom category showed just how well design and brand communication have struck a chord with the times. The industry was not only talking about the brand under the Richter+Frenzel umbrella, it was downright celebrated.
iF Product Design Award of the Industrie Forum Design - four awards for FOR Odivis and bathroom accessories
The iF Design Award of the Industrie Forum Design has been presented annually since 1954. It is all about product design that is absolutely convincing - around 11,000 product and project innovations from a total of 56 nations applied for the traditional award in 2023.
FOR Odivis received the iF Product Design Award in the Ceramics and Furniture, Taps and Accessories categories. The brand also received the award for the general accessories category. This actually covers the entire range of the Odivis and Leano collections. The brand is a well-rounded one, at least in terms of design.
Coming soon: Red Dot Design Award
The annual Red Dot Design Award design competition is internationally renowned and is regarded as a quality label. The prize is awarded for product and industrial design, for brand and communication design and for design concepts.
All entries are judged by a panel of experts made up of international industry leaders. Products and concepts that are awarded the prize are then presented in exhibitions, in yearbooks and on the Internet. The Red Dot serves as a quality label for the exceptional products and may be used in product communication.
With this in mind, we at Danthree Studio are of course particularly proud that we were able to create product visualizations, 3D images and a 3D animation for the two collections FOR Odivis and Leando.
The bathroom and sanitary area is tricky: How do you communicate sensory experiences, well-being and privacy in a luxurious environment when the target group only has their eyes to explore? CGI offers us the opportunity to communicate surfaces, textures, temperature of space and surfaces through clever lighting and color.
In the differently designed rooms with partly identical, partly similar products, it becomes clear how the various individual pieces (furniture, sanitary ware, fittings, accessories) can be freely combined with one another.
Our 3D animation allows the viewer to walk through the rooms. The feel, hardness and temperature of the different surfaces can be experienced effortlessly thanks to the masterful work of our CGI artists.
The virtual design of the brand spaces with the greatest possible realism was ultimately the decisive factor in the brand communication. This furniture, fittings and ceramics stand for an "empathetic feel" and place the focus on people, as brand developer Alexandra Richter emphasized from the outset. This also applies to the claim: FOR - a bathroom that makes me feel good.
